摘要

PURPOSE: To safely inspect most of the entire length of the wire rope of a crane with good accuracy by means of a rope tester. ;CONSTITUTION: One end of a wire rope W wound on a drum 1 is released to take down to the ground. The wire rope is passed through a rope tester 9 on the ground and is then wound on a winding winch 6. The other end of the wire rope W is connected to one end of a temporary auxiliary rope 10 wound on a guiding winch 7. The winding winch 6 is driven with higher torque than the rewinding torque of the guiding winch 7 to inspect the wire rope while successively winding the wire rope through the wire rope tester 9. In addition, after completing the inspection, reverse turning movement is applied to both the winches, respectively. The wire rope W follows the auxiliary rope 10 for recovery.
