PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step end cover for a tread that can acquire an excellent stepping sensation and sufficient durability.;SOLUTION: This nosing cover 10 for the tread for covering a step end part 2a at the tread 2 of a wooden staircase 1 is provided with a cover body 11 having a step board 12 arranged along the upper face of the nosing 2a, a front cover plate 13 extending downward from the front end of the step board 12 and arranged along the front end face of the nosing 2a, and an inclined plate 14 extending downward, inclining slightly toward the back face side from the lower end of the front cover plate 13. The upper face of the step board 12 of the cover body 11 is provided with a rugged non-slip part 20 at the middle in a longitudinal direction, along the lateral direction. The cover body 11 is composed of a low foamed molding of hard ABS resin, and at least the tip of the projecting part of the non-slip part 20 is composed of an elastic layer 21 formed of thermoplastic elastomer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
