OLD TIRE TREATMENT METHOD AND OLD TIRE REUTILIZING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for effectively utilizing an old tire generated in large quantities. SOLUTION: The old tire is quenched by liquefied gas to be crushed and the crushed tire is sorted into metal wires and old rubber fibers by a sorting machine and a part of the old rubber fibers is ground in a frozen state to be formed into a fine powder while the residual old rubber fibers are ground into coarse blocks to be utilized as dry fuel for livestock feces, human feces and fishery waste and SO2 in exhaust gas generated by incineration is brought into contact with fermented organic fertilizer, ammoniacal pulp sludge or an ammonium sulfate absorbent to be reacted therewith to be utilized for the removal of SO2 while utilized as a cleaning agent against air pollution or car exhaust gas. The fine powder of the old tire is mixed with a synthetic resin, synthetic rubber or latex or tar pitch and the resulting mixture is overheated and molded to be utilized as a vibration-proof material, a sound absorbing material, a road paving material or a building material.
