PURPOSE: To easily and strictly test lumbar characteristics of a dummy for collision experiment. ;CONSTITUTION: The waist part D1 of a dummy D for collision experiment is fixed onto a set plate 5 which is supported on a substrate 1 so that the waist part can be freely adjusted at back and forth positions and upper and lower positions by a fixing member 10. An elevation table 18 with a load cell 26 for detecting the counterforce from a drum part D2 of a dummy D for collision experiment is supported on a guide rail 17 provided on a rocking frame 12 which rocks back and forth by a motor 13 for rocking while the table is being pivoted by a bracket 11 so that the table can rise and fall freely. The tip of a detection rod 27 protruding from the load cell 26 to the front contacts a pad member 29 provided on the rear surface of the drum part D2. As the rocking frame 29 rocks, the elevation table 18 rises by a motor 22 for elevation, thus constantly retaining the detection rod 27 vertically for the drum part D2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
