PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system capable of reducing communication costs and improving security.;SOLUTION: This system is provided with a site PC 1 for storing data sent from monitor target equipment, periodically transmitting 'E-mail with attached non-sent data' and transmitting 'E-mail with attached previous data' on the other hand when a serious fault occurs, a mail server 2 for transferring the data attached to the relevant E-mail while using the internet inside the company, and also transmitting contents to the mail address of a member of the company or of a client on the other hand when the received E-mail is a monthly report or notice for reporting a fault, and a remote monitoring server 3 for returning E-mail describing the fault notice when a fault is discovered in data from the mail server 2, and also transmitting the E-mail describing the monthly report of previous month to the mail server 2 on the other hand.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
