PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper document treatment system and a paper document treatment method capable of lessening the operation burden to an operator and increasing the paper document treatment efficiency.;SOLUTION: The paper document treatment system comprises a pretreatment unit and a division unit communicated through a transportation unit. A panel control part 104 for controlling an operate panel 30 is connected to an OVIS control part 101 of the pretreatment unit and a panel operation part 106 for controlling an operate panel 67 is connected to an LSM control part 102 of the division unit. When jamming takes place in the division unit 6, such event information is transmitted to the OVIS control part 101 from the LSM control part 102 and the event is displayed on the operate panel 30 of the pretreatment unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
