PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel and depress interference with a wide band system caused by a narrow band system.;SOLUTION: There is contained a step of searching (502) for all narrow band interferer signals like a Bluetooth signal by a cancellation and depression of interference by a wide band wireless device (100). A communication is made with a detected Bluetooth Piconet (504). It is estimated when the Bluetooth signal occurs by use of information received in step (504) (506). An interference signal is cancelled by use of a depression system in relation to the estimation as to when (where) an interfering signal occurs. In another embodiment, both of a narrow band signal (304) and a wide band signal (302) are stored (306). Next, one or more narrow band Bluetooth signals (304) are decoded (308) and subtracted (310) from a wide band packet, which is then decoded (312).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
