PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design efficiency by easily quickly selecting machine elements required for machine design.;SOLUTION: Specification standards of machine elements and menu are stored in a computer, and a proper one is selected from the standard displayed on a display device with respect to each of machine elements constituting an objective machine, and specified machine elements are combined to determine a machine constitution, and its constitution diagram is generated by a computer. In this case, data required for design is preliminarily written in a storage medium which is installed into the computer to give design capabilities of the same level to plural computers, thus the entire design efficiency is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
