PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disturbance compensation device and a method using a learning control.;SOLUTION: It is characterized by having an actuator moving the position of a head that records data or reproduce the recorded data in a record medium, an error detector detecting the difference between the actual position of the head and the base position on above record medium (position error), a compensator that generates an output value to drive the actuator receiving an output value from the above error detector, the first memory that stores a control input to compensate the position error of above actuator caused by a periodical disturbance such as eccentricities, the second memory that stores the contents of the first memory converted by phases, a timing controller that generates the addresses of the above first memory and the above second memory by phases and an accumulator that adds the output of the first memory or the second memory together with the output of the compensator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
