PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry chamber for submerged part work of a floating body having high working efficiency, having simple device constitution, and inexpensively manufacturable, and an underwater moving method therefor.;SOLUTION: This recessed or L-shaped chamber 1 is formed by communicating left and right side surface chambers 4 and a bottom surface chamber 5 for using left and right side surfaces 2a and a bottom surface 2b of a floating body submerged part as a work space over the prescribed length. This underwater moving method of the dry chamber for the submerged part work of the floating body is characterized in that a seal material 6 is arranged in a opening hole end part contacting with the floating body 2 of a chamber body 3, a drain means is arranged in the lowest bottom part of the chamber body 3, the dry chamber 1 for the submerged part work of the floating body 2 is provided with a moving means for moving the chamber body 2 along the floating body 2, and this dry chamber 1 is moved still in a dry state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
