METHOD FOR DESCRIBING GRAPHICAL ALGORITHM OF BLOCK DIAGRAM BASE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF IMAGE PROCESSING APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To describe the graphical algorithm of a block diagram base which makes the flow of data easy to understand.;SOLUTION: A function as a functional unit is provided as a block library so that blocks can be positioned on an editing window. The blocks positioned are interconnected by data flow to create a block diagram for constructing algorithm on a computer. Computer programming language can be automatically created from the block diagram. For the block library, control blocks 52 and 54 respectively for a repeating process and for a conditioning process are prepared and expressed in the form of a plate P. The icons of function blocks can be positioned on the plate. Alternatively, by stacking another plate on top of the plate, a nest of control structures can be expressed on the computer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
