PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin capable of manufacturing a polyester expanded material high in independent foam content and excellent in heat resistance.;SOLUTION: This polyester resin for expanded material is a polyester resin obtainable by polycondensation of a glycol containing 10-80 mol% glycol having a circular ether skeleton and a dicarboxylic acid, and has an intrinsic viscosity in the range of 0.3-1.2 (dl/g) measured using a mixed solvent of phenol and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane with a mass ratio of 6:4 at 25°C and a melt viscosity/ intrinsic viscosity ratio in the range of 1,500-5,000 (Pa.s.g/dl).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
