PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out the deodorizing treatment of gaseous basic organic substances such as amines, each containing at least one nitrogen atom in the molecular structure, without causing secondary pollution.;SOLUTION: Gaseous substances such as amines are introduced into a deodorizing tank 1 in which a microorganism is loaded, and sprinkled water is recovered and stored in a water-storage tank 9 while sprinkling water onto the deodorizing tank 1 by a water sprinkler 6, or the like. After adjusting the pH of the recovered water to 6.0 to 8.5 by using a nitrification tank 17, or the like, the recovered water is again sprinkled. The activity of the microorganism is kept good, and the decomposition of the above gaseous substances is efficiently carried out by adjusting the pH of the water for sprinkling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
