PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic sensor that can be configured with only passive components not needing a power supply at its sensor section by solving various disadvantages of a conventional acoustic sensor because sound vibration has been transduced into an electric signal and then transmitted and to provide a microphone.;SOLUTION: This invention provides the acoustic sensor of the optical fiber loop interferometer type that is configured by connecting a light source, passive components and both ends of an open part of a loop optical fiber with a branch coupling element and a diaphragm vibrated by an acoustic signal is directly fixed to the loop optical fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
