PURPOSE: To detect the abnormal vibration of the car body of an automobile in an early state. ;CONSTITUTION: A vibration sensor 1 detects the vibration of the car body of an automobile while the automobile runs and a CPU 4 obtains the vibrational characteristic of the car body by repeating analysis of vibration signals detected by the sensor 1 for frequency spectra by using its FFT function 41 and integrating processed data and discriminates whether or not the obtained vibration characteristic is similar to the normal vibration characteristic (standard data) of the car body preset in a third memory 53.
