PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated high-rise storage and retrieval system capable of reducing the number of auxiliary means for receiving and delivering packages and of reducing a cost.;SOLUTION: In this automated high-rise storage and retrieval system, a package 100 taken out from a storing shelf by a package extracting-storing part 37 of a stacker crane is delivered out while it is mounted on a conveyer 15, and a package 100 delivered in while it is mounted on the conveyer 15 is stored in the storing shelf by the package extracting-storing part 37. A traveling carriage 50 traveling in linkage with and in parallel with the traveling of the stacker crane is installed on the lower side of the conveyer 15. The traveling carriage 50 is provided with the auxiliary means 60 for receiving and delivering packages. The auxiliary means 60 for receiving and delivering packages can freely move plural rollers 65 from the under surface side to the upper surface side of the conveyer 15 and vice versa and is constructed by arranging plural sets of the rollers side by side so at to obliquely tilt toward the widthwise direction of the conveyer 15, and the package 100 held by the package extracting-storing part 37 is mounted from the higher side of the rollers 65 of the auxiliary means 60 for receiving and delivering packages and rolled on the rollers 65 to guide it onto the conveyer 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
