ABNORMALITY DETECTOR IN COMBINED USE OF VISIBLE RAY CAMERA AND INFRARED RAY CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector that can properly and quickly detect abnormality by using a combination of a visible ray image and a thermal image and an image processing algorithm compensating defects of the images.;SOLUTION: An image processing unit 3 processes a visible ray supervisory image from a visible ray camera 1, stores an abnormality occurrence place in the supervisory image to a memory 21 as an abnormality alarm together with abnormality contents such as fire and fuming. Similarly, the image processing unit 3 processes the thermal supervisory image from an infrared ray camera 2, stores the abnormality occurrence place in the supervisory image to the memory 21 as an abnormality alarm together with abnormality contents such as fire and fuming, and a CPU 22 discriminates the abnormality by using the majority decision theory on the basis of the abnormality alarms obtained from the two different supervisory images. The abnormality detector detects the abnormality with high reliability in the case that abnormality of the same contents is detected in one place, combines the visible ray image and the thermal image, and uses the image processing algorithm compensating defects of the images so as to properly and quickly detect the abnormality.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
