PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage alarm testing method for easily and quickly performing a test.;SOLUTION: In this method for testing a fire gas leakage alarm provided with a gas detection element, a heater heating the gas detection element, a fire detecting means, and a controlling means having a function of controlling a heater temperature and a function of inputting detection outputs from the gas detection element and the fire detecting means for detecting existence/absence of detected gas and its heat or smoke on the basis of these detection outputs, the controlling means is provided with a storage means storing a test result and a test switch outputting the storage contents stored in the storage means. In every output sampling timing of the gas detection element, a test voltage forcibly making an alarm condition is impressed to the gas detection element in another timing different from the output measurement timing for determining whether a gas detecting function works normally or not, while to the fire detecting means, the test voltage forcibly making the alarm condition is impressed for determining whether a fire detecting function works normally or not, and these results are overwritten and stored in the storage means.
