Snow dance rising monitor

摘要

PURPOSE: To accurately monitor soaring status of snow by distinguishing it from snowfall. ;CONSTITUTION: A television camera 11 is installed along the railway line of a train. Only one exclusive index 12 is installed at a position away, by a specific distance, from the television camera 11. The exclusive index 12 is painted black and white at the left and right, respectively. The image information obtained by shooting the exclusive index 12 from the television camera 11 is sent to an image processing part 14. The image processing part 14 obtains shade luminance differences C₁ and C₂ of the exclusive index 12 before and immediately after the passage of the train, obtains a soaring snow density d₂ by substituting the luminance differences C₁ and C₂ for C₁ and C₂ in d2=1-C₂/C₁, and then outputs the soaring snow density d₂ as the snow soaring status which is generated due to the passage of the train.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
