PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type drier, and a defective detecting method in the belt type drier in which defectives such as undried works or over-dried works exist or not can be detected securely and in an early stage to take proper measures. ;SOLUTION: A defective detecting method in a belt type drier 1 comprises a process of detecting defectives based on a load on a device provided on the terminal end side of a belt conveyor 6 in the belt type drier 1 in which material R supplied to the starting end side of the belt conveyor 6 is carried while it is dried, so detection of the defectives in an early stage, taking of proper measures, and automation (unmanned operation) of the belt type drier 1 are enabled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
