PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte type fuel cell and its low-cost manufac turing method provided with a fuel electrode, which is superior in fuel gas permeability and electrical conductivity. SOLUTION: This fuel cell 1 is provided with the fuel electrode 2, the solid electrolyte 3 formed on the fuel electrode 2, and an air pole 4 formed on the solid electrolyte 3. The fuel electrode 2 consists of two or more porosity composition layers, which have pores, with differing diameters. The diameters of the pores become large one by one, going from the interface side of the solid electrolyte 3 of the fuel electrode 2 to the surface side of the fuel electrode 2. The pores are formed at positions, where a pore forming material (graphite and/or carbon black) has disappeared by baking processing, and the porosity of the fuel electrode 2 is 8 to 55%.
