PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snowmelt drain device of a roof for a cold district allowed to be installed in various forms of roofs, and capable of surely draining snowmelt on the roof to effectively prevent generation of re-icing and icicles.;SOLUTION: In this snowmelt drain device of the roof for the cold district, snowmelt on the roof is drained from the eaves. A heating unit 118 for melting at least some of frozen snowmelt to secure a snowmelt channel on the inside of the frozen snowmelt is provided on the roof 130, and at least a part of the heating unit 118 is extended to the tip of the eaves 131.
