PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner containing a so-called filling-type air- cooling tower for easily acquiring a filler and its case inexpensively and simultaneously improving cooling performance. SOLUTION: The air-cooling tower 10 has the filler 12 in the case 11 and cools air by bringing cold water that is poured from the upper section into contact with the air that is sent from the lower section on the surface of the filler 12. The case 11 is formed by wood, and a number of small pieces of wood are used as the filler 12.
