METHOD FOR CHANGING WAVE ABSORBING PERFORMANCE OF WAVE ABSORBING CAISSON, AND WAVE ABSORBING CAISSON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for changing the wave absorbing performance of a wave absorbing caisson so as to be able to cope with a post-change wave to be absorbed on change of the wave to be absorbed. SOLUTION: In the method for changing the wave absorbing performance of the wave absorbing caisson, the width B of a retarding chamber 11 is changed by infilling a filler into the retarding chamber 11 for the purpose of changing the wave absorbing performance. A jig 13 for mounting a form 15 used during the infilling of the filler is precedently installed on the side of the wave absorbing caisson. When there is a need to change the width B after the launching of the caisson, the form 15 is mounted on the jig 13, and the infilling of the filler allows the width B to be changed.
