PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method for a recording medium capable of easily managing a plurality of sub-data between pieces of video data and a reproducing device and a reproducing method for the same.;SOLUTION: This method has a step of forming the data and a step of recording the formed data to the recording medium. The data described above includes a plurality of the video data and management information and respective pieces of the video data are interleaved and arranged with animation data and a plurality of the sub-data to be reproduced simultaneously and alternately therewith. The sub-data is accompanied by IDs and the management information described above has route information to assign a program chain indicating the video data to be reproduced in series and a table which make the logic numbers of the sub-data and the IDs of the sub-data correspondent to each other to the video data indicated by the program chain.
