PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing man-hours and to improve an yield by dispensing with the formation of a slit on a flexible board 2 in advance.;SOLUTION: This convex-type piezoelectric element assembly 100 comprises a number of piezoelectric elements 1 arranged in the shape of a circular arc, a flexible board 2 connected to a recessed face side of a circular arc arrangement of the piezoelectric elements 1, and a backing material 3 supporting a number of piezoelectric elements 1 through the flexible board 2. The flexible board 2 has reversing parts 2a extended in the direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the piezoelectric elements 1 respectively from each part between the piezoelectric element 1 and the backing material 3, and curved at an angle of 80° to be rolled into a rear side of the backing material 3, and leading parts 2b extended in the arrangement direction of the piezoelectric elements 1 from the rear side of the backing material 3 to be connected with a cable (not shown in a drawing).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
