PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a signal of an ultrasonogram capable of obtaining an image having superior space resolution, and displaying the sub-harmonic information at a speed near real time.;SOLUTION: This processing method comprises a step for transmitting the ultrasonic waves continued for periods of the even number of 4 or more to a subject in a predetermined period, a step for detecting the echo produced by the reflection of the transmitted ultrasonic wave by the tissue of the subject to obtain a receiving signal R1, a step for obtaining a delayed receiving signal R2 by delaying the receiving signal by a time corresponding to one period of the transmitted ultrasonic wave, a step for obtaining a difference signal RTOTAL between the receiving signal and the delayed receiving signal, a step for obtaining the information R0 relating to the echo generating position on the basis of the difference between the difference signal in a first predetermined period and the difference signal in a second predetermined period, and a step for obtaining a sub-harmonic component RSUB on the basis of the sum of the difference signal in the first predetermined period and the difference signal in the second predetermined period.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
