PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured coiled spring which can adjust lateral force appropriately in the longitudinal direction as well as in the cross direction of a body while it is secured to a strut type suspension device. SOLUTION: A compression coil spring 5 is formed such that the end turn center axes OF of the top end turn 5b and the bottom end turn 5a of the compression coil spring 5 is offset in relation to the coil axis CA of a body section. The pitch of the bottom end turn 5a is set up so that the bottom end turn 5a is inclined at a specified angle of α to a lower seat 4 in the direction that the axial length of the bottom end turn 5a on the side of off setting becomes short and/or the pitch of the top end turn 5b is set up so that the top end turn 5b in inclined at a specified angle of β to an upper seat 3 in the direction that the axial length of the bottom end turn 5a on the side opposite to off setting becomes short. In addition, in a perpendicular face to a face including the end turn center axis and a coil axis the pitch of the bottom end turn 5a is set up so that the bottom end turn 5a is inclined at a specified angle of γ to the lower seat 4 and/or the pitch of the top end turn 5b is set up so that the top end turn 5b is inclined at a specified angle of δto the upper seat 3.
