PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IEEE 1394 network system that can much more enhance the security.;SOLUTION: Each node of the network system 6 is connected to an IEEE 1394 bus via a breaking switch 7 and a device 1 acting like a host node controls the breaking switch 7 provided corresponding to a node discriminated to be inadequate to break the connection of the node to the bus. In this case, the device 1 acquires a Vender-ID and a Product-ID stored in each node connected to the bus as node information and compares and collates each node information with node information stored in the device 1 as product list so as to discriminate the adequacy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
