PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste detoxification treatment furnace which is a round cylindrical furnace and in which the inner surface of a furnace body is formed from a far-IR/ near-IR radiating ceramic material and which is capable of performing inside it, combustible waste treatment, or specifically, combustible waste carbonization/detoxification treatment, in a short time by heating water with a far-IR/near-IR radiating heater so as to generate high-temperature and high-pressure steam and by utilizing a synergistic effect of ultrasonic vibration and the generated high-temperature and high-pressure steam, and also to provide a combustible waste carbonization/detoxification treatment process.;SOLUTION: As this device, a simple device (furnace) consisting of a furnace body and an ultrasonic generator set on the inside of the furnace body, is used, wherein: the furnace body is a completely closed furnace body having resistance to high- temperature and high-pressure steam, the inside of the furnace body is lined with a far-IR/near-IR radiating ceramic material, a far-IR/near-IR radiating heater is placed in the vicinity of the bottom of the furnace body, and the whole outer surface of the furnace body is covered with a heat-proof, heat-insulating material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
