PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting and curing accelerator of alumina cement, an alumina cement composite and a castable refractory using them which can produce a cured material with its curing time having little temperature dependency, which has good flow value, good aging compression strength and good drying compression strength, and whose curing time is not fluctuated much by the fluctuation of a temperature.;SOLUTION: The castable refractory comprises a setting and curing accelerator of alumina cement whose main component is lithium aluminate, the setting and curing accelerator which contains lithium aluminate with such fineness as over mesh of 500 μm is 10% or less, an alumina cement composite containing alumina cement and the setting and curing accelerator, the alumina cement composite containing a cement additive, the alumina cement composite containing superfines, the alumina cement composite whose specific surface area is 3,000-9,000 cm²/g in plain value, and a castable refractory containing refractory aggregates and the alumina cement composite.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
