PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation quantity learning method capable of obtaining learning values with high stability, reliability and validity while suppressing storage capacity.;SOLUTION: The observation quantity learning method includes a step for updating the representative value of a learning area belonging to an observing position based on a weighting coefficient determined in accordance with observation quantity and the observing position on which the observation quantity is observed and a step for changing the learning area and the weighting coefficient based on the rate of change in the observing position of the observation quantity. The changing steps include a step for finding out the rate of change in the observing position of the observation quantity, a step for setting up each learning position on which the found rate of change becomes zero and a step for setting up the weighting coefficient so as to increase or reduce it from one end part to the other end part of each set learning area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
