ATOMIC ENERGY PLANT SYSTEM AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which reduces shift of radioactivity to a steam turbine system from a nuclear rector. SOLUTION: The atomic energy plant system is provided with the nuclear reactor, equipped with a pressure vessel and a steam turbine which uses steam generated inside the pressure vessel of the nuclear reactor. A drier, which functions as a high-temperature-water purifying device, is provided inside the pressure vessel. The drier is provided with a plurality of corrugated plates 22, between which a interflow containing radioactive substances passes through. On the surfaces of the corrugated plates 22, a substance such as TiO2, ZrO2, a ferrite or the like as an ion exchange substance which is stable under the conditions of high-temperature water or in which steam coexists is installed. When the interflow passes through the corrugated plates 22, the radioactive substance is captured on the surfaces of the corrugated plates 22, and the radioactive substance is separated and removed from the interflow flow.
