PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the damage to hair while preventing the discoloration and over-astringence of hair by removing residual alkali.;SOLUTION: Hair is dyed with an oxidizing hair-dye containing an alkaline agent to obtain dyed hair having pH of 8-10 in the hair. The hair-dye is washed off from the dyed hair and the hair is coated with an after-treatment agent having a pH of 3-5.5 as 10 wt.% aqueous solution, left to stand and washed to remove the after-treatment agent and adjust the pH in the hair to about 8 (the primary care). The hair is treated plural times with an after-care hair- treating agent having a pH of 3.5-6.5 as 10 wt.% aqueous solution to adjust the pH in the hair to the isoelectric point of the hair (pH 6) or thereabout (the secondary care).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
