PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make redoable the relevance feedback up to an arbitrary point of time in document retrieval provided with relevance feedback which corrects a retrieval profile for retrieval on the basis of user's evaluation of satisfaction or dissatisfaction at the retrieval result. SOLUTION: Evaluation inputted by a user, the retrieval profile corrected by this evaluation, and the retrieval result based on the retrieval profile are preserved correspondingly to one another (step 1604). When restoration of the retrieval profile is requested, a retrieval profile corresponding to the evaluation designated by the user is restored (step 1304).
