INTERNET ARCHIVE SERVICE TO PROVIDE PERSISTENT ACCESS TO WEB RESOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide persistent web access without necessitating direct processing of a timestamp of a URL by all web servers. SOLUTION: A URL(Uniform Resource Locator) with the timestamp to identify web resources makes the Internet persistent by creating Internet archive service by being combined with URL redirect technology. In this invention, the persistent web access is provided without necessitating the direct processing of the timestamp in the URL by all web servers. A user inputs, for example, a URL with a date by using a web server and transmits it to the web server. The web server receives the URL (including the timestamp, a relative timestamp or a variable timestamp), retrieves a collect web page (or web pages) from the present archive or redirects the user to a predefined Internet archive site. This invention ensures that a desired material can be collated by reference with the timestamp to optional web resources.
