PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waste disposal method certainly enabling an optical disk to lose its function with high treatment efficiency by simple operation and achieving the facilitation of a reutilization process after treatment, a waste disposal mechanism and an optical disk manufacturing apparatus.;SOLUTION: A part of the data recording region or recognition data recording region of the optical disk is deformed or deteriorated to make the reading of the recognition data recording region impossible. The regeneration of the optical disk 10 itself is made impossible by deforming and deteriorating a part of the 'recognition data recording region' or data recording region indispensable when the data recorded on the optical disk is regenerated. By this constitution, the reutilization of a constituent material can be facilitated by the simplification of waste disposal work, the enhancement of treatment efficiency and the keeping of the disc shape of the optical disk.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
