PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save electric power mainly by way of data refreshment.;SOLUTION: Display data in a frame memory is refreshed and controlled with respect to a display panel with storage function. A device is provided with a comparison means 24 comparing display data in a previous frame with that in a present frame at every prescribed lines on a display picture, a data transfer means 8 for receiving display data of the prescribed line when data do not watch so that display update is required but for sending hold-information when data match, and a display panel driving control means 11 for giving the instruction of refreshing in synchronism with the transfer by the data transfer means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
