PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telecommunication terminal (telephone set, facsimile terminal, portable telephone terminal, or PHS terminal) which can use an LCR function that selects the least expensive telephone company (telephone service), by comparing occasionally usable telephone companies (telephone services) with each other without fixing any telephone company (telephone service) to be selected nor requiring the cooperation of the manufacturer of the terminal.;SOLUTION: The LCR function is not incorporated in this telecommunication terminal when the terminal is shipped from the manufacturer. After the user of the terminal starts to use the terminal, software is down-loaded into the terminal from the outside, and software having the LCR function is down-loaded and operated by utilizing a function that can operate the first down-loaded software.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
