JELLYLIKE FOOD CONTAINING LARGE AMOUNT OF DIETARY FIBER AND DOCOSAHEXAENOIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food from which docosahexaenoic acid(DHA) and a dietary fiber can be eaten at the same time as dessert is eaten. SOLUTION: This jellylike food comprises devilis-tongue powder obtained by solidifying devilis-tongue powder into a jellylike state and adding a DHA- containing fish oil to the devilis-tongue power and DHA and contains 0.2-1.0 wt.% of devilis-tongue powder and 0.05-0.3 wt.% of DHA based on the total food weight. The DHA-containing fish oil is a deodorized suspension composed of a fish oil consisting essentially of DHA and vinegar.
