PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain sealing performance by reducing the load of a valve, eliminate the possibility of leakage from the valve, require less power during opening the valve, and reduce the power consumption of a gas meter.;SOLUTION: A valve rubber 10A is made of NBR with its peripheral edge formed into a thin lip. The lip portion is deflected during opening the valve and grounded on a valve seat surface 2a to seal gas. A portion of the circumference of a valve seat 2A is provided with a cutout consisting of a slope 2c. The valve rubber 10A around a portion 2d having a small ground area due to the cutout is first set apart during opening the valve to cause easy valve opening action. Thus, even when a spring 12A has a small load, the lip portion of the valve rubber 10A has close contact with the valve seat surface 2a to provide good sealing performance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
