PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a cleaning solution quickly from a rope and to prevent the leakage of the used cleaning solution surely.;SOLUTION: A cleaning apparatus body 10 is engaged/fitted with/to a rope 5, and the rope 5 is cleaned while the body 10 is brought up along the rope 5 by a moving device 14. In the body 10, a cleaning chamber 28 and a liquid removing chamber 30 are installed, the rope 5 is cleaned by spraying high pressure hot water to the rope 5 by a cleaning nozzle 36 in the cleaning chamber 28, and waste liquid is discharged through a liquid discharging passage connected to the chamber 28. High pressure air is sprayed to the rope 5 in the liquid removing chamber 30 by an air nozzle 46 to remove the waste liquid adhered to the rope 5, and the waste liquid is discharged through a liquid discharging passage connected to the chamber 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
