PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purification apparatus which enables to combine the advantages of both the pre- and post-dilution methods and is used for hemodialysis and blood filtration or either one of these functions, while retaining the fixed level of purifying functions of the hemodialyzer and blood filter. SOLUTION: A displacement liquid is injected in the blood of an extracorporeal route (10) of the hemodialyzer or the blood filter (20) on the upper stream and down stream of the hemodialyzer or the blood filter (20). A higher level of blood purification is retained by modifying an injection volume of a displacement liquid to be supplied to the upper stream or an injection volume for a displacement liquid to be supplied to the down stream of the hemodialyzer or the blood filter (20) and by controlling at least one or more parameters relating to either the treatment or the blood.
