VIRTUAL RESTORATION SYSTEM OF BUDDHA STATUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage system capable of reproducing even a part, which can not be conventionally reproduced to internal structure of wooden works of art such as a Buddha statue or restoring its original figure. SOLUTION: Tomographic images of the Buddha statue, etc., at prescribed intervals are acquired by using a CT scanner (S21), the respective collected tomographic images of the Buddha statue, etc., at prescribed intervals are corrected and only a restored part is removed from the tomographic images (S22). A three-dimensional image is constructed by laminating these two-dimensional tomographic images (S23). The constructed three-dimensional image is further converted into a virtual reality(VR) image (S25) by performing smoothing, etc., to it and reducing data quantity by deleting an unnecessary polygon (S24).
