SOLUTION: Sound data S is fetched by a fetching step 20, the sound data S is analyzed by an analysis step 30, a numerical value to characterize features of sound expressed by the sound data S is calculated and numerical value data consisting of the numerical value is created. Furthermore, the patterns are generated by deciding graphics to be components to constitute the patterns to be created by a fundamental element selection step 40 and arranging the graphics decided by the fundamental element selection step 40 in images to be the patterns based on the numerical value data created by the analysis step 30 by a pattern generation step 50. These processings are automatically or semiautomatically performed by a pattern creation system 10 based on a program.
