PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for preventing the bridge of granular filter media in moving bed type upflow filtration equipment, which easily enables the prevention of the generation of bridge of the granular filter media such as sand causing the deterioration of filtration performance disabling to continue the operation and the breaking of the generated bridge in the moving bed type upflow filtration equipment. SOLUTION: In the moving bed type upflow filtration equipment having a bed of the sand 4, which is the granular filter media, and for filtering when feed water W is passed through the bed of the sand 4 upward, a bridge preventing structure, for example, structured so as to provide a bridge preventing piping at a bridge generation part, where the sand 4 of the sand bed causes the bridge and the fluidity is lost, and to enable to jet pressurized fluid to the bridge generating part through the bridge preventing piping.
