PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism and a method for applying an effective magnetization action on tap water.;SOLUTION: This magnetic treatment mechanism is provided with at least a lead-in line 12 which is connected to a water service line 11 installed by a water supplier, and house-to-house lines 14 each of which directly supplies tap water supplied through the lead-in line 12 to an individual component house 32 in a condominium building 31. A plurality of narrow branch lines 13 branched from the middle of the lead-in line 12 and re-joined are installed in the lead-in line 12. An automatically operating valve 21 and a magnetic force generator 22 are disposed in order from the upstream side at least in each of the remaining narrow branch lines 13 except the narrow branch lines whose flow passages are always opened, and a magnetic force generator 22 is disposed in each of the narrow branch lines 13 whose flow passages are always opened.
