PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an endocrine-disturbing action of a substance to be tested, more particularly a method for detecting an endocrine-disturbing property capable of similarly detecting not only an estrogen- like action but also another hormone-like action or an anti-hormone action.;SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for detecting an endocrine-disturbing property provided with the following: (1) culturing a cell having a susceptibility to a hormone of an endocrine system in a first culture system where the hormone of the endocrine system and the test article exist; and (2) judging the presence and absence of the endocrine-disturbing property of the substance to be tested by detection of a gene characteristic of the first gene expression pattern through comparing the first gene expression pattern obtained from the cell in the first culture system with a second gene expression pattern expressed in a cell having a susceptibility to the hormone of the endocrine system in the presence of the hormone of the endocrine system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
