PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for presenting the next retrieval candidate word for presenting the next retrieval candidate word by classifying words in a group, and generating a further fragmented group and a recording medium in which a next retrieval candidate word presenting program is recorded.;SOLUTION: An inputted retrieval word is registered as retrieval input history information with an input time and retriever identification information by a retrieval word recording part 1, and the recorded retrieval input history information is analyzed by a retrieval word analyzing part 3 so that inter-retrieval word relevancy can be calculated, and the next retrieval candidate word is extracted by a next retrieval candidate preparing part 7 by using the calculated inter-retrieval word relevancy and a retrieval word inputted from a retrieval word inputting part 5, and the extracted next retrieval candidate word is presented from a next retrieval candidate outputting part 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
