DEPARTMENTAL DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORT FOR MEDICAL FACILITY MANAGEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which widely collects information on the use of devices and the cost in a department and analyzes this information, to quickly and effectively generate a report to a management team and a decision maker. SOLUTION: Biomedical equipment data (114) of a medical system (12) is stored in a centralized database (36) and is accessed and reported thereabout. Data includes references to specific departments (38, 40, and 42) of the system to which constituting elements of equipment are assigned. Data is collected manually (38) or automatically (92), and a detailed report (138) is generated, on the basis of analysis of collected information. The report (138) can represent counts, namely, values of equipment inventory summarized for each department, the past and future trends of the equipment inventory, service records, and data of service agreement information or the like. Analysis of plural departments is possible with respect to the entire system or a specific facility site (30, 32, or 34) and its group.
